Recipes for Southwest Fiesta Dip!

Our dips are where flavor comes to play on Game Day! Earn the title of MVP and serve these Gourmet Dips at your next party or get together!  Or try one of these fun and fabulous recipes!

End Zone Pinwheels


8 oz. Cream cheese
1 cup Shredded cheese, any kind
2 1/2 Tbsp. Game Day Gourmet Southwest Fiesta Dip
1 Tbsp. Sour cream

8 inch flour tortillas
3/4 cup Green pepper, finely chopped
3/4 cup Any other pepper, finely chopped
1/2 cup Sweet onion, finely chopped
 
Mix cream cheese, shredded cheese, Southwest Fiesta Dip and sour cream together with mixer and spread on a tortilla – right to the edges. Sprinkle vegetables evenly over the tortilla. Roll up as tightly as possible – use a bit of the cheese mixture to seal the edges. Wrap the roll in waxed paper and refrigerate for 2-3 hours or overnight. Slice into pinwheels and serve – great served with Game Day Gourmet Chunky Garden Salsa.

Time-Out Wonton Sausage Appetizers


50 count Wonton wrappers, to fit mini muffin tins
1 lb. Sausage, cooked and well drained, for vegetarians, soy sausage
may be used
1 1/4 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 1/4 cups Pepper Jack cheese, shredded
3/4 cups Game Day Gourmet Southwest Fiesta Dip
 
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Press a wonton wrapper into each cup of the muffin tin. Bake for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and place wonton “cups” on a cookie sheet. Repeat until there are about 50 cups. Mix sausage, cheddar cheese, Pepper Jack cheese, and Southwest Fiesta Dip until well blended. Spoon mixture into wonton cups. Bake 5 - 10 minutes, or until bubbly. Makes 50 appetizers.

Football Fun Cheese Ball


8 oz. Cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup Game Day Gourmet Southwest Fiesta Di
1/2 cup Colby Jack cheese, shredded
1/2 cup Ripe olives, chopped
1/2 cup Herb croutons, crushed into crumbs

In a medium mixing bowl, blend cream cheese and Southwest Fiesta Dip. (This may be done by hand with a rubber spatula or hand mixer at low speed). Scrape down edges of bowl and mix another 30 seconds. Add shredded cheese and ripe olives, mix just until combined. Place mixture in a resealable container and chill 2 hours. Prior to serving, spread crouton crumbs onto a dinner size plate, remove cheese ball from container and form a ball in your hands, roll cheese ball in the crumbs until coated. Serve with a variety of tortilla chips or crackers. Serves 10-15.

Game Day Hanky Panky


1/2 lb. Ground beef
1/2 lb. Sausage
1/2 lb. American cheese, packaged, cubed
4 Tbsp. Game Day Gourmet Southwest Fiesta Dip
1 tsp. Oregano, dried
1 package Party rye bread

Brown the ground beef and sausage in a frying pan. Drain excess fat. Add cheese, Southwest Fiesta Dip and oregano to ground meat and heat until cheese melts. Spread even amounts onto the top of rye breads. Place in a 350 degrees F oven and bake for 5-8 minutes. Yields 24-28 appetizers.
 

Cherry Pepper Poppers

1/2 lb.
Italian sausage, 2-3 links
4 Tbsp.
Game Day Gourmet Southwest Fiesta Dip
1/2 cup
Cheddar cheese, shredded
2 jars
Cherry peppers

Remove casing from sausage and brown in a frying pan over medium heat. Remove from heat and drain excess fat. mix the cooled browned sausage with Southwest Fiesta Dip and cheddar cheese. Cut stem of each pepper and remove seeds from inside of pepper to make hollow inside. Spoon sausage mixture into each pepper. Place in a baking pan and bake in a 375 degrees F oven for 5-8 minutes.
 

Pinwheel Appetizers

8 oz.
Cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup
Game Day Gourmet Southwest Fiesta Dip
1/4 cup
Red onion, minced
1/4 cup
Green pepper, minced
 
Salt and pepper to taste
 
Tortillas

In a small mixing bowl, mix together the cream cheese, Southwest Fiesta Dip, onions, peppers, salt and pepper. Spread a layer of cream cheese onto some tortillas. Roll each tortilla like a jellyroll. Slice the rolls into 1 - 1 1/2 inch thick pieces.
